We are drafting criteria for providers in order to be listed as one of the key quality providers in Georgia.  The criteria will include having a good reputation in the community, being licensed, having stable ownership, agreeing to refer to other quality providers if you can not meet the need, agreeing to a quality covenant/pledge, as well as other factors that insure consumer trust.  Additionally, we will ask you for references of other quality providers of housing and community-based services in your area of the state.  We need this information in order to broaden the list of providers throughout the entire state.

We want to support the “quality providers” by providing tools and materials to connect with congregations and other organizations in their local communities.  Our goal is to refer consumers directly to the key providers in the area of the state in which they are seeking housing and/or in-home services.

The Center envisions each of the 150 Aging Services of Georgia members (and others to be determined) as local “centers for positive aging” in the communities they serve.  Each center will offer the community its expertise on aging issues, hosting educational programs and opportunities for consumers. Using the comprehensive information on the website, Aging Services of Georgia members can strengthen their position as key resources in their communities.
